Coronavirus Guidance Reminder

Date Posted: December 22, 2021

There has been a range of updated Scottish Government guidance recently. We are following this guidance to make sure that all our staff, tenants and contractors are kept as safe as possible. This is a reminder of the guidance which should be followed:

Social distancing

Please stay at least 2 metres from people apart from those in your household. We are making every effort to maintain social distancing so please do not approach Concierge or other staff on the estate, or in common areas.

Laundries

Please keep the numbers in laundries to 2 people at any one time. If there are  already two people in the laundry, please wait for someone to leave before you go in. The laundry opening hours are 7.00 am until 7.00 pm.

Lifts

Please keep the lifts to one person at a time, unless you are with those in your household. If you are able to, use the stairs where possible.

Wear a face covering

Wear a face covering when you are moving around the common areas of multi-storey and low rise flats unless you are exempt.

Wash your hands

Wash your hands with soap regularly and for at least 20 seconds.

Emergency repairs, safety checks and essential maintenance will continue. Staff or tradespersons will visit your home if needed.  When this happens, we will follow guidelines on hand washing, social distancing and wearing face masks or other protective equipment.

You will be asked a few questions so we have a picture of your circumstances in relation to Covid. Please note the following guidance:

  • You should stay at least 2 metres away, and in a separate room while work is being carried out.
  • Wear a face covering unless you are exempt.
  • Ventilate the area by opening windows before and during the visit where possible.
  • New Scottish Government guidance emphasises that wherever possible households should take a Lateral Flow Test before someone works in your home.

You can get free lateral flow tests for people who do not have Covid symptoms by:

  • ordering online at GOV.UK
  • phoning 119 (7am – 11pm daily. Calls are free of charge)
  • collecting from a Covid testing centre
  • collecting from some pharmacies

We trust all tenants and members will continue to work with us to make sure we all stay safe. Please speak to staff by phone, email, letter or handset.
